Think Clearly Before You Commit

Before starting anything big —
whether it’s building a brand, launching a business, or creating a YouTube channel —
I believe there’s one thing you must do first:

Think clearly.

Take a moment.
Pause.
And ask yourself:
Why do I want to do this?

When you’re clear on why you’re doing something, you don’t need motivation.

There’s a quote I love from Naval Ravikant:

“Clear thinkers become clear speakers.
Clear speakers become clear actors.
Clear actors become clear winners.”

In other words:

Mental clarity → clear direction → clear actions → clear results.

Before trying to work hard, chase success, or build wealth —
you must first learn to think clearly.

If you think clearly, you act intentionally.
If you act intentionally, you create what matters.
And if you create what matters — success becomes inevitable.

It’s like preparing for a battle:

You don’t win the war on the battlefield —
You win it in your mind, before it even begins.

The Key to Success on YouTube — or in Life

I believe the key to success is simple:

Commit to it, and keep improving over the long term.

Most YouTubers give up.
But the failure rate for someone who:

  • shows up consistently,
  • improves along the way, and
  • stays aligned for 5 years…

That failure rate is shockingly low.

So the real question I need to ask myself is:

Can I commit to this — for the long term? Say, 3 to 5 years?

To answer that honestly, I had to look deeper.

What Makes Long-Term Commitment Possible?

It’s not just discipline.
It’s not just motivation.

It’s something deeper:

Alignment.

1. Alignment

“The most important thing for long-term success is to find what you’re naturally good at and deeply curious about.”

Long-term commitment becomes natural when you’re doing something that:

  • Feels like you
  • Gives you energy
  • Fits into your life like a happy habit
  • Follows your natural rhythm — not forced by trends or fear

Here are a few questions I asked myself:

  • What feels energizing, not draining?
  • What would I still do even if I didn’t get paid?
  • What do I do naturally, without being told?
  • What lights me up?
  • What kind of creating feels most me?

For me, the answer is clear:

Self-improvement is my life’s pursuit.

It gives me deep joy and energy.
I could dedicate my life to it — even with no financial return — because doing it itself is fulfilling.

This year, my curiosity led me to:

  • Speaking English
  • Weight training
  • Making videos

They all fall under one theme: becoming a better version of myself.

Writing, learning, reflecting — these are my natural modes of expression.
I’ve been blogging for 6 years — not perfectly, but consistently.

So now, I’m ready to turn that passion into video.
Not to be perfect — but to grow.

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be:

Change.
Always changing. Always becoming.

In the Past 6 Months

I’ve changed my body.
I’ve changed my personality.
I’ve built habits like:

  • Waking up at 4:30am
  • Walking 15,000 steps a day
  • Lifting weights nearly every day

And I want to document this journey — not as a finished product, but as a living process.

There is no end.
You can always improve.

Creating helps me clarify my identity and rewire my mindset toward who I want to become.

I don’t love editing — but I’ll push through that discomfort for now.
If it becomes too draining, I’ll invest in myself and outsource it.

Because this is something I want to commit to — for the next 5 years.

2. Thinking in the Long Term

“All the returns in life — whether in wealth, relationships, or knowledge — come from compound interest.”

You’re not trying to go viral overnight.
You’re building something real — slowly, with care, and with soul.

Most people give up because they expect fast results.
But when nothing happens in 3–6 months, they feel hopeless and quit.

They’re not defeated by results —
they’re drained by their own thoughts.

If you believe you’ll reach the top of the mountain,
you don’t need to keep looking up.

Just focus on your next step.

That’s how I choose to walk this path:
With long-term vision, and short-term focus.

Use the Energy of the Future

One of the most powerful things I’ve learned from
Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza is this:

Imagine yourself already successful.
Feel the energy of that version of you.
And let it guide your present actions.

Imagine:

  • You’ve created videos for 5 years
  • You’ve built a meaningful body of work
  • You live where you love
  • You work how and when you want
  • You create freely, without fear

Let that version of you become your emotional home.

Let that energy fuel your present-day actions.

When you’re aligned and thinking long term,
consistency becomes effortless.

Success is no longer a question of “if” — it’s a question of when.

Final Message

So before you commit to anything big —
Don’t just push.

Think clearly.
Ask yourself:

“Is this aligned with who I am?”
“Can I walk this path for the next 3–5 years?”
“Can I show up, even when it’s slow?”

If the answer is yes,
then take the first step — and trust the mountain will carry you.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep becoming.

And I’ll be here, sharing my journey of change — one video at a time.
