Energy Is the Decision-Maker
“Behind every decision — career, love, money, health — there is one invisible judge: your energy.”
Most people think decisions are made by logic, or limited by time and money. But in truth, the real decision-maker is energy.
The choices that sustain you, transform you, and compound over time are never the ones that simply look good on paper — they are the ones that give you more life.
Why Energy Decides Better Than Logic
- Logic can argue both sides. You can always find reasons for or against something.
- Time can be scheduled. You can always squeeze or stretch it.
- Money can be earned or lost. It fluctuates.
But energy is different. It tells the truth instantly.
- When your energy rises in a situation → that’s alignment.
- When your energy drops → that’s misalignment.
My Examples
- I thought editing videos would drain me. But when I tried, I felt joy, creativity, and renewal. Energy told me it was the right decision.
- On the surface, I had time, money, and security in my marriage. But it drained my energy every day. That energy leak told me the deeper truth.
How Decisions Change in Each Economy
- Money economy decisions → “Can I afford it?”
- Time economy decisions → “Do I have time for it?”
- Energy economy decisions → “Does this give me energy or drain me?”
This single shift changes everything.
Energy as Compass
Your body and emotions are energy sensors.
- A feeling of lightness, expansion, or aliveness = go.
- A feeling of heaviness, contraction, or dread = stop.
Awareness is the skill of listening.
When you follow the path of highest energy, you align with your truth — even if logic or others disagree.
Energy Audit for Decisions
Before making any choice, I ask three questions:
- Does this give me energy right now?
- Will it compound my energy over time?
- Does it align with my Inner Energy Portfolio (love, service, vision, awareness, integrity, patience, gratitude…)?
If the answer is yes → I move forward.
If the answer is no → I let it go.
Example: My Weight Training Investment
This year, I invested $5,000 in weight training — not for muscles, but for energy returns.
I gained more muscle → physical energy.
It pushed me to play the mental game → mental energy.
It triggered me to eat healthy → more energy income and fewer leaks.
It forced me to go to bed early → deeper recovery and earlier mornings.
And those early mornings gave me leverage — the quiet hours to create, reflect, and grow.
What looked like an expense was actually an energy asset that keeps compounding in every area of my life.
Closing
Energy is the invisible CEO of life.
When you let energy be the decision-maker, money and time fall into alignment.
The best decisions don’t just look good on paper. They give you more life.
